Meet the English Principal

Mr. David Sonenberg worked as a teacher and administrator in the Toronto District School Board for over 25 years and spent most of that time supporting schools in the Forest Hill area. Most recently, he was the Principal at Cedarvale Community School where he worked to support over 300 students from kindergarten through Grade 8.

Mr. Sonenberg grew up in the Toronto community. He and his wife have four children, and all three of their boys are proud graduates of Yeshiva Darchei Torah. Mr. Sonenberg and his family live in Thornhill and have strong connections both to the BAYT and Kollel Ohr Yosef. Outside of his work in schools, Mr. Sonenberg has been helping boys prepare for their bar mitzvahs for over 30 years and is also a dedicated volunteer responder for Hatzoloh Toronto.
